For years, I have been sending emails from Outlook on my desktop computer and mobile device with no problems. But the last few days, I am getting rejection messages saying my emails cannot make it through. Can I get help figuring out what is going on?
Here is the undeliverable error message I got when trying to send to an att.com email address (came from here: Mail Delivery Subsystem <******@xxxxx.prodigy.net>):
"The original message was received at Tue, 16 Jan 2024 12:28:35 -0800 from mail-mw2nam12on2049.outbound.protection.outlook.com [40.107.244.49] ----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors ----- (reason: 554 [RL02] Message content not accepted for policy reasons; see https://postmaster.yahooinc.com/error-codes) ----- Transcript of session follows ----- ... while talking to mx-sbc.mail.am0.yahoodns.net.: >>> DATA <<< 554 [RL02] Message content not accepted for policy reasons; see https://postmaster.yahooinc.com/error-codes 554 5.0.0 Service unavailable"
And here is the undeliverable error message I got multiple times when trying to send to a yahoo.com email address (came from: Microsoft Outlook <******@xxxxxxx.com>):
"Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:
(******@yahoo.com)
Your message couldn't be delivered. Despite repeated attempts to contact the recipient's email system it didn't respond.
Contact the recipient by some other means (by phone, for example) and ask them to tell their email admin that it appears that their email system isn't accepting connection requests from your email system. Give them the error details shown below. It's likely that the recipient's email admin is the only one who can fix this problem.

I am having the same issue with emails going to Yahoo accounts coming back as undeliverable. Has been about 3 weeks now.
I am having the same issue for the last month and this is really impacting my business. Is there a solution?
I have a .live.co.uk address and between 7th (when an email was received) the 10th March (when it wasn't), I stopped being able to send emails to yahoo.co.uk address, which is a problem as I have family using Yahoo.
I am not commercial or a bulk sender, merely a private individual. I use the Outlook app on my phone so whilst the may be a solution for bulk senders, I am not sure what to do, except use my btinternet.com account, which sends fine
So the issue is MS to Yahoo emails.
That depends. Do you subscribe to Microsoft O365 directly? Or, through GoDaddy? Your domain is hosted by GoDaddy.
If your email is hosted with Microsoft directly, they can walk you through the process, however, you'll need access to your GoDaddy account to make changes to the DNS.
If you subscribe to Microsoft 365 through GoDaddy, then start with GoDaddy.
Regardless of who does it, important thing is that you'll need administrative access to both, your Microsoft and GoDaddy accounts.
Are you the administrator of your MS 365 account? If you are "techy" enough to know how to add/delete/edit users and change their passwords then you can figure this out. There are plenty of links in this discussion, but you can look at my post at the bottom of Page 6
I don't know what any of that means. Can a non techy person do this or do I need to get an IT guy?
