cox has transferred their email to yahoo, now outlook will not accept the email account how do you connect

I take it your issue has been resolved. Jerwemy Moore helped me as well. I had it all done except for where the app generated password went. Mr. Moore is the man to go to for this cox/yahoo transition problem.

I was hopeful when I saw this video and saw others commenting that it worked for them to get the Cox transitioned to Yahoo email account to work in Outlook. Unfortunately after following all of the steps of changing the server and ports and this time getting a Yahoo generated password for Outlook as suggested by the video, I'm still getting the message that "Something went wrong and Outlook couldn't save your account settings. Please try again." I've retired a few times, but to no avail. Any other suggestions?

You have to redirect the server from Cox to pop.mail.yahoo.com. It's in the File/Account Settings/Server Settings. Just like you are setting up a new account using your Yahoo password from that email.

I'm good. Jewremy Moore helped me get it set up. Your answer was the same as his. Once I got the password figured out everything worked as it should.

Hello - I do not see all of my folders in outlook that I created while COX was our provider. I can see them in yahoo mail on my pc under folders (not in the in box). But I cannot see them on my iphone mail account unless I select COX. They did not transfer to my Yahoo account. Is there a way to get the folders 'back' again. Thanks in advance.
