Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
Just had a phone call from a client. Some users have just switched to new Outlook and their Office365 accounts have disappeared from Outlook, but left the shared mailboxes connected. What is this utterly **** piece of software.
I had to connect remotely to find out what had happened to realise what these users had done. Switched back to old Outlook and their accounts re-appeared.
This is an essential tool and we cannot afford to have Microsoft users being beta testers for such an outrageous piece of programming, switching to new Outlook caused downtime for a client. The "Try New Outlook" toggle needs removing from the interface as a matter of urgency. It is clearly not fit for purpose.
I tested a while back and lost access to a ton of IMAP accounts, didn't think for one minute users would loose access to O365 accounts, but now we know it happens and happened to multiple users so not an isolated issue.
