How to TURN OFF auto start of OUTLOOK (NEW) on computer?

This did not work for me. The new outlook still tried to load when I opened mail.

I appreciate you are trying to help others here, so I am going to try to assist you in the process.

Like other Microsoft users the fact that new Outlook kept opening on start up was irritating and annoying. As per your answer I looked at all the obvious and found exactly the same as the other responders, there is no facility to stop it starting built in as such, and you cannot turn it off from task manager. When the app was first rolled up, when you opened the soon to be discontinued mail and calendar app it gave you the option to use either app, however if you had already started using new Outlook the taskbar icon for mail would automatically toggle to and open the new version, so the two were effectively interlinked. I sat here trying to figure out how I could resolve this without interfering with the system, so I reasoned that if I uninstalled mail and calendar and then cleaned up the traces of redundant files with AVG Tune Up, it might do the trick. I have now shut down and restarted the PC three times and guess what - no new Outlook on start up!

I am not suggesting this will work for everyone, but so far it certainly seems to have fixed this fault without losing any of the data in my files.

I have two different Windows 10 Pro PCs and they behave the same way and the other one is just a backup and is usually always turned off for really long periods of time. This is not a malware problem. Microsoft itself caused this problem, which we discuss in this forum. I have a third Windows 10 PC that has been out of use for an even longer time. It was last used as a virtual server. It would allow us to study this problem even more carefully. The GPU is missing so that's why the third PC is not working and it has been gone for a long time and it is a good test target for this Microsoft software bug. We can run test. Windows version is 10 Home. The computers on my network do not login to Microsoft's server. I have my own windows server, but windows 10 home can't use it thats way i hate all windows home versions. Windows network is hard to build and I have made mistakes and learned from those mistakes.

Go to settings apps apps & features, uninstall microsoft teams and the problem should be sollved
