Hi,
I had 2 updates today from Microsoft for Microsoft Office. I am using Windows 11.
"Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016 - en-us" and "Microsoft 365 - en-us".
Versions for both are 16.0.17029.20028
This updated my Outlook client as well - I know this because it changed to a new menu bar. I changed this back to the classic outlook menu bar.
After this, my Outlook client crashes whenever I try to send an email.
I cannot revert to the new menu bar in case this is causing the issue as there is no option to do this.
I am still receiving emails.

I have the same issue with live.com and have tried all the useless "fixes". Except now it wants to switch me from 2019 to 365. Ugh! And I have to dig up my Product Key or it will shut down in 5 days. Please fix this!!!
Ditto. Exact same issue here. After auto-update, Outlook crashed instantly each time I tried to send a message. Outlook still runs on my Android, so look like this is directly related to the Windows update of November 14. Some problems were flagged in the release notes:
"We fixed an issue that caused Outlook to fail to comply with the default browser settings for some users". I have Microsoft Office Home and Business 2019 edition and my Outlook for windows is doing the same thing when I try to send an email. Receiving emails is fine, only trying to send an email. This all started when Microsoft added the Outlook.com version to my desktop computer shortly before Thanksgiving. Thanks a lot to Microsoft to stop me from sending emails at Thanksgiving time!!!! Microsoft should and MUST correct this immediately. Forcing users to buy Microsoft 365 is NOT a good solution. What can I do?
As I said, the only solution for me was to upgrade to Office 365.
If you do upgrade (I had no choice), the email client for Outlook 365 is missing some features such as adding in .PST archive files, attaching emails to calendar invites etc.
The new client is faster however and provides a better user experience.
Same issues here. My outlook ribbon gave option of switching to new outlook (top right, have to have expanded to full screen). It finally worked!!!! I hate the new look, but I had to send some emails for work.
