Outlook crashes when sending emails after Microsoft Update

Hi,

I had 2 updates today from Microsoft for Microsoft Office. I am using Windows 11.

"Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016 - en-us" and "Microsoft 365 - en-us".

Versions for both are 16.0.17029.20028

This updated my Outlook client as well - I know this because it changed to a new menu bar. I changed this back to the classic outlook menu bar.

After this, my Outlook client crashes whenever I try to send an email.

I cannot revert to the new menu bar in case this is causing the issue as there is no option to do this.

I am still receiving emails.

    Version 2311 Build 17029.20068 fixed it for me, too.

    Just confirming, because the problem was not only related to outlook.com as suggested by the support item

    Outlook Desktop crashes sending an email from Outlook.com accounts

    For me the previous version crashed when switching between different web.de email accounts. No outlook.com involved.

    The fix worked for me.

    The reporting and detailed descriptions of the exact issue helped identify what at first appeared to be a preexisting problem with an existing solution. All the contributions clearly helped to show this was a new bug, which prompted a fix. Many thanks to all on this forum, and to those who generated the fix!

    Hi all,

    The build with the fix just released Version 2311 Build 17029.20068, Outlook Desktop crashes sending an email from Outlook.com accounts - Microsoft Support. To install the fixed build, click File, Office Account, Update Options, Update Now.
