How to change my mobile Outlook font back to calibri?

Agree with everyone else - this is unacceptable. In today's day and age, how can this not be an option? Don't get me started with web views for all the apps vs the desktop features. Frustrating to say the least. I know Microsoft can do better.

The only work around I have found is to create an email on the laptop in Outlook with the Calibri font, size 11 and colour blue. (whatever your preference is)

• Start an email with HI, Hello, or anything to save the font
• Close the email and when it asks, save it to your drafts. I create quite a few like this
• When on your mobile device, go into your drafts folder and select the email you saved
• Press and hold the text you created, Hi, Hello.....etc and copy.
• Take this to your new email or an email you are replying to, press the area you want insert the text
• Paste the test you saved
• This works as a copy and paste and keeps the format

**You cannot go to your clipboard on your mobile as it does not take over the format, you must copy from your draft email and paste directly**

It is ridiculous that we have to spend the time and create work arounds to make our emails look professional and consistent.

@Microsoft Please revert or include a way to ensure the Calibri font is available

Thanks for trying to find a workaround. Glad to hear it works for you but unfortunately for me not. When I reply or forward the original message, it reverts back to aptos. And even if it initially looks ok on the mobile Outlook message, when I check the same message on my laptop, the initial calibri has reverted to aptos.

Microsoft needs to fix this.

I tested this as well. Here are more detailed list of instructions:

1. Send an email to yourself from your Outlook desktop client. In the body of the email, type the following in the Calibri font (should be default):

“Start typing after arrow, DELETE before sending -> ”

1. Open the email in Outlook Mobile, highlight the text above in the body of the email, choose “Copy” (long press -> Select All -> Copy)
2. Exit email and navigate to Outlook Mobile settings (Home button to the left of Inbox, click “gear” icon in the bottom left corner.
3. Click on “Signature” and PASTE the text above into the Signature field. Click the checkbox in the upper-right when done.

 

FOR NEW EMAILS:

1. Compose a new email, typing your message AFTER the arrow as instructed. DELETE the signature text and extra space before sending.

 

FOR REPLIES/FORWARDS:

1. Click “Reply” to an email.
2. Click the diagonal arrow in the right corner of the message window
3. Click “Load full message” at the bottom of the email
4. Type your message AFTER the arrow as instructed. DELETE the signature text and extra space before sending

 

NOTE: You will have to do this for all emails (particularly REPLIES) otherwise the “Start typing after arrow, DELETE before sending -> ” text will be included in emails.

Even though this works, it is NOT a solution. @Microsoft please fix this asap.

I tried your workaround but unfortunately it worked only partially. While it first sends my test email correctly in calibri (the font i chose to try out), when I FORWARD my test email again to myself as a second test, the font reverts back to Aptos. So the forward and reply functions don't maintain the chosen font.

The frustration continues. It's totally incomprehensible why Microsoft imposes a poor font on us and doesn't resolve the issue.
