Why am I suddenly getting so many spam emails on outlook.com from an apparent AI bot?

In the past 2 hours alone, I have received at least a dozen spam emails written in random words. For example “isnt a said tone Then it level in very he possible 54 u443 hkother” They are coming from apparent one-off gmail, live, hotmail, and other accounts. And the so-called junk filters are catching NONE of them. I get most of my email on mobile devices, so I’m not using the desktop Outlook app, and thus I can’t adjust the level of spam filtering. To be honest, I pay for Microsoft 365 and I find it ridiculous that (A) the default outlook.com spam filters are not catching them, and (B) I can’t adjust the spam filter so it does catch them. Microsoft, quit dinking around with AI on Bing and put it to work in your own spam filters!

Honestly sounds like the same amount as me, thats why I had to pay for extra storage because the important ones weren't coming through. Hope we all get to the bottom of it 🤞🏻 or Microsoft pulls there finger out.

This creates a tremendous amount of work for me. I have set up so many rules for spam, and I get messages saying that I have too many rules. I am recreating the same rules time and time again, and the same spam keep coming, ignoring my rules. Today is the worst day ever with SPAM. What is going on, and MS needs to up their game, or I am going to leave, and I have been on MS for over 20 years.

I don't think the filters are clearly working from personal experience, I am the same over 20 years to upto 100 spam/junk nuisance mails everyday. Its very frustrating and don't understand why they aren't doing anything about it.

I have been having this same experience for several weeks now. I mark each of them as spam/junk, but they keep arriving. There is no evidence that your AI is learning, and the emails themselves should be plainly simple for MSFT to identify and blacklist. See this screenshot from what I've deleted just in the last hour.

This should not be difficult to fix. It is forcing me to think about shutting down the Outlook.com email address that I've used for many years.

I've marked so many as phishing but then within seconds I get more. Is Hotmail doing anything or is Gmail my only recourse?
