Why am I suddenly getting so many spam emails on outlook.com from an apparent AI bot?

In the past 2 hours alone, I have received at least a dozen spam emails written in random words. For example “isnt a said tone Then it level in very he possible 54 u443 hkother” They are coming from apparent one-off gmail, live, hotmail, and other accounts. And the so-called junk filters are catching NONE of them. I get most of my email on mobile devices, so I’m not using the desktop Outlook app, and thus I can’t adjust the level of spam filtering. To be honest, I pay for Microsoft 365 and I find it ridiculous that (A) the default outlook.com spam filters are not catching them, and (B) I can’t adjust the spam filter so it does catch them. Microsoft, quit dinking around with AI on Bing and put it to work in your own spam filters!

2023-11-07T20:56:34+00:00 In the past few weeks I’ve had so many spam emails going into my focused folder. It’s now crashing my Outlook app. I’ve had this account for years and never experienced this. Trying to get help from MS is like pulling teeth! I understand they must have millions of accounts, but it seems I’m not the only one who is experiencing this now, so there must be a problem their end. Why has nothing been communicated? I really don’t have time to report all of these new spam emails!

2023-11-07T21:10:06+00:00 I agree I've tried as much as I can myself and so fed up blocking reporting etc etc, I'm the same I've had this email address for about 20+ years 😔 MS don't seem to care. Fingers crossed they sort it ASAP

2023-11-12T19:01:39+00:00 My wife gets 30-75 spam emails per day. I get very few and I do not get any of the ones she she gets. We both use Outlook via comcast. Very annoying and would hope they can figure this out,
