My desktop outlook app will not open

I have Windows 11, Office 365 and use the Outlook desktop app for my email. The app has stopped working. When I click to open the little circle starts spinning for about 10 seconds then nothing happens

    I have updated to Windows 11, so I don't know if Windows 10 behaves differently to my Outlook Mail workaround.

    When I went to the Calendar it is asking about using NEW outlook which I have been for over a month!? My button says "Try New Outlook"!? Of course it does not work. Talking about stuck on stupid. Maybe I'm being punished for still using Windows 10.

    PS: I'd check the "Notify me when someone responds to this post" option but that uses Outlook!

    Nothing worked for me. I had to completely uninstall Microsoft 365 and then reinstall it to get it to work.
