My desktop outlook app will not open

I have Windows 11, Office 365 and use the Outlook desktop app for my email. The app has stopped working. When I click to open the little circle starts spinning for about 10 seconds then nothing happens

    Bless you, I was going spare and this solved the problem in no time at all. Took a screen shot just in case I need it again!

    WOW, thank you for this very simple fix, that did it! I could not get any other solution suggested by MS to work - turns out the easy route was the ticket. I appreciate you taking the time to post!

    On my desktop with Microsoft 365, running on Windows 11, I've had some luck with this procedure: I open Task Manager (right click on the taskbar), scroll down to Microsoft Outlook, select it, and then click End Task (at the top or right click). This is not a permanent fix, but it does let me get into Outlook on the next try. It seems that the OS does something that maybe keeps two Outlook windows from being open simultaneously, but the way it is implemented it appears to be a bug.

    Thank you Gunasekar. I installed a new Windos 11 update to my computer and this appears to have fixed the problem as Outlook is now working as normal. Thank you for your help.
