It also created two new folder on my mac with the name starting with OwaFV15, it is very annoying to search for any email and as soon as I try to read any new email, when I open it it push that mail to one of the new folder.Tried a lot to resolve this but still cannot , please help!

I shared your feedback in the bug tracking this issue. The original guidance said that the folders would be removed on the next sync but clearly that is not the case for you. If you get the opportunity, could you please try removing the account from Windows Mail and add it back and see if that forces the sync to clear it. I'll post back any updates I get.

Removed the "inffected" .hotmail account and re-booted PC but the folders are still there after reinstating the account.

The folders also still appear in my outlook.com.

After an hour or so "playing" I have managed to delete these folders and have all my emails now in 1 box.

So far after closing and reopening windows mail the folders have not reappeared

Will see what tomorrow brings after overnight shutdown.
