Why is Mac Outlook Legacy not working today?

I am a support consultant for many customers. Getting a bunch of calls this morning (03/21/2024) about Legacy Mac version 16.8x and above not syncing.

If they switch to New Outlook, no issues. Online is also working.

Why would Legacy stop working today for some? Running Mac OS X 13.x and 14.x with same issue.

Please advise.

Legacy outlook Version 16.83.1 (24031813) on mac here, still cannot access my exchange account up until now.

Another workaround about this would be, why on earth can't I access old exchange on new outlook? ridiculous

It has been 24 hours now and the issue is still occuring. Is there an ETA for when this will be resolved ?

bring it back. this isn't fair to drop on users with no warning and no lead time. new outlook is nowhere near as intuitive as legacy. this is affecting my ability to do business.

    Yup, same.

I think the investigation notes are not correct.

Version 15.20 (Build 7409.15) and lower Outlook works

Newer versions of the Exchange Server are not working (mine is 7409.24 and it's not working)
