I am a support consultant for many customers. Getting a bunch of calls this morning (03/21/2024) about Legacy Mac version 16.8x and above not syncing.
If they switch to New Outlook, no issues. Online is also working.
Why would Legacy stop working today for some? Running Mac OS X 13.x and 14.x with same issue.
Please advise.

My Mac Outlook Legacy was down since approx. 10:00 pm PT on March 21. I was just successfully able to revert back to Mac Outlook Legacy.
Hoping others on this string have a similar success!
How is it that new Microsoft Outlook for MAC is missing so many basic features of Legacy Outlook? That would soften the blow if all features were present. Microsoft has had several months to get new Outlook up to speed.
We need to take to social media and get attention of the press to the ineptitude and unresponsive news of Microsoft to this issue. Email use is mission critical to all fields so not being able to use Outlook and Microsoft taking the weekend off on this issue is irresponsible and borders on IS malpractice. This incompetence is shocking. Probably because they are trying to sundown Outlook for Mac.
I am having the same issue. I was forced to use the new version. If I try moving mail from my Inbox to folders On My Computer (using a Mac Book) the email goes back to my Inbox. I wasted 6 hours over the chat line and then sharing screens with level 2 with no resolution. Was supposed to get a call back today but got an email saying I did not respond - big lie.
