Message blocked because it contains content identified as spam. AS(4810) - PDF issue

I am trying to send a PDF attachment and I keep getting the message that it's been identified as spam. I haven't had this issue until tonight, and PDF attachments worked 24 hours ago. This is happening from multiple recipients: Gmail, Yahoo, .me, etc.

Things I've tried:

Test emails without the attachment (they go through)

Test emails with a different PDF attachment that I sent yesterday (they don't go through)

Test emails with different text in the subject and message body, and with the attachment (they don't go through)

Test emails with the file as a .fdx (Final Draft) rather than PDF (they go through)

Test emails as a One Drive link rather than an attachment (they go through)

Renaming the PDF file (it doesn't go through)

So it appears to be a PDF issue. I'm accessing Outlook on my browser using Chrome on a MacBook Pro. For work purposes I need to be able to send PDF documents as attachments, so I'm hoping to get this figured out soon. I work in a television writer's room so 7 million viewers are depending on me!

Thanks so much for any advice!

    Here are some workarounds:

    • Put your PDF into a ZIP file and send the ZIP file.
    • Send a link to a shared folder such as OneDrive or Google drive.
    • Roll back to the older Windows Mail client by uninstalling and reinstalling Windows Mail. (via add or remove programs)
    • Compose the email on your computer and save it in your drafts folder.  Then log in with your phone, find the draft item in your drafts folder and press Send from your phone.
    • Download and use the full-blown Microsoft Office Outlook client (assuming you have access from something such as Microsoft 365 family).

This will probably get resolved in a few days but I’m posting this in hopes that people will find the solutions helpful.

There is more than one brand of web browser - and more than one free webmail provider.

I am a loyal outlook user but I urgently needed to send a pdf today AS-IS to a person less computer-savvy than me.

An easy workaraound is to send the PDF from a different email provider today, for example GMail

So Is this just a forum where all of us share that we are having the same problem and Microsoft does not respond. We are all just supposed to brain storm and see if we can fix it ourselves. How do they not have customer service. This is mind blowing. This is my business email and I cant send info to my customers. So frustrating

I applied the temporary workaround someone suggested and I can again send pdf attachments. The workaround being convert the body of the email to plaintext using the three dots (drop-down menu) to the right of the top of the body of the email.
