Why is the Play My Emails Feature in the Outlook email app for iPhone being retired in June 2024?

I use this application on my phone for work on a daily basis. We’re often on the go without access to a computer with windows 11 installed.

Is there a plan to replace/upgrade this feature in the app?

The first time I heard about this was on 5/24/23, less than a week before the feature is going to be removed. No other information was provided via the message in the app.

Thank you for your assistance.

    Dear ChrisL999,

    Good day.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The decision to retire the "Play My Emails" feature in Outlook for iPhone was made based on a number of factors, including usage data and feedback from users. Microsoft is constantly evaluating its products and services to ensure that they meet the evolving needs of our customers. At this time, there is no information available regarding a replacement or upgrade for this feature. However, I recommend keeping an eye on Microsoft's official communication channels "Microsoft Roadmap" Microsoft 365 Roadmap | Microsoft 365 for any updates or announcements regarding Outlook for iPhone.

In the meantime, if you want Microsoft keep this feature please feel free to post this in our Feedback community by visiting Outlook · Community (microsoft.com) as it is a community monitored by our Product team to help improve user experience with Outlook, via feedback given by our valuable customers.

    Thank you for the information!

Was hoping to continue to use iOS Outlook App's "Play My Emails" feature until the beginning of June 2024, as stated in the Cortana voice message clip we all received. It has already been disabled as of 5/29/24.

    RIP, "Play My Emails."

I also use this feature frequently and I don't know how I will survive work with out it. This seems like a huge accessibility failure.
