I changed my Teams status to "Available" which it was already but reclicked it - and my offline grey X on outlook went to green checkmark and now says Availble on my email. Not sure if you're having same problem but this fixed my problem. Outlook and Teams we're linked and I guess Teams was set to "Offline" so it showed up on my Outlook as well.

Thanks for your kind response. I have Teams but haven't done anything with it in months. I'll check status and certainly give your suggestion a try. Hopefully Outlook and Teams are linked. Much appreciation.
How do I get online again? Outlook wants to stay offline.
