I am still having the same problem. The "Work Offline" box has a red X in it and I cant change to working online.

I am still having the same problem. The "Work Offline" box has a red X in it and I cant change to working online.
I cannot turn Microsoft Outlook from 'offline' to 'online.'

To answer your question, here's how to switch from working offline to working online in Outlook, please follow these steps:
- Open Outlook.
- Click on the "Send/Receive" tab in the top menu.
- Look for the "Work Offline" button in the "Preferences" section.
- If the button is highlighted, click on it to turn off the "Work Offline" mode.
- Once you have turned off the "Work Offline" mode, Outlook will start to synchronize with the server and you will be able to send and receive emails.
