Totally agree, old is by far much better than new ... exception made that it is impossible to change the default font and size for the messages.
Microsoft blocked the "Set Default" button, to force the users which need it, to use the new Outlook.
This is the only reason to use the New Outlook., so I'm also forced once in a while to close the new and open de old to do things that were removed.
What, indeed! Outlook has been a great product for a very long time, but every so often, it seems someone at Microsoft finds a way to mess it up. So often, it seems the programmers become enchanted with a fun, cool new way to do things, but ignore the people who use it. New users won't know what they're missing, but if asked, I'd recommend using an older version.
I found too many things lacking (ability to edit, sort folders, etc.) with New Outlook, so I switched back to Old Outlook and am happy. What does New Outlook give you that is worth these sacrifices?
