I am having issue that Yahoo emails are not reaching recipients. I am getting an error message but after 24hrs not even straight after. It's only come to my attention because in follow up calls, they are telling me that the emails never arrived..

Please advise me how to sort it out as is very important I can reach those yahoo recipients.

Your message couldn't be delivered. Despite repeated attempts to contact the recipient's email system it didn't respond.

Contact the recipient by some other means (by phone, for example) and ask them to tell their email admin that it appears that their email system isn't accepting connection requests from your email system. Give them the error details shown below. It's likely that the recipient's email admin is the only one who can fix this problem.

My organization started having this problem late Thursday evening 3/8/24 with emails outbound to Yahoo not getting delivered. After googling the issue I found this forum and the posting by Mitch Cohen regarding this article https://www.braze.com/resources/articles/yahoo-and-gmails-2024-new-sending-requirements  This article helped me understand it wasn't a Yahoo issue, it was our SPF, DKIM, and DMARC settings were not configured for our custom domain in MS Office 365. Using the following 3 articles by Microsoft I was able to follow and configure the required settings both in my Microsoft tenant and on my Wix domain account.

Step 1; Verify your MS Tenant has SPF configured. Mine had SPF already in place for my custom domain. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/security/office-365-security/email-authentication-spf-configure?view=o365-worldwide&viewFallbackFrom=o365-worldwide%3FWT.mc_id%3D365AdminCSH_globalsearch

Step 2: Setup DKIM for your MS Custom domain account https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/security/office-365-security/email-authentication-dkim-configure?view=o365-worldwide

Step 3: Setup a Shared Mailbox in my MS tenant, for the DMARC process to allow us to receive email performance information. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/admin/email/create-a-shared-mailbox?view=o365-worldwide

Step 4: Setup DMARC for my MS Custom Domain using the shared mailbox I created in step 3 https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/security/office-365-security/email-authentication-dmarc-configure?view=o365-worldwide

As I performed steps 1,2, and 4 I tested the header messages of my sent emails to both Gmail and Yahoo mailboxes that I had access. I used the site linked in the DKIM setup article to view my headers. https://mha.azurewebsites.net/

Overall investigating / reading and understanding the issue took about 2.5 hours much longer than the actual resolution. It took about 1.5 hours following the articles above and testing the settings to resolve the issue for us.

I hope you all find this post useful. I didn't go through all 7 pages of post here. Luckily the post by Mitch Cohen was on page 1 and it pointed me in the right direction. I checked the last page and Ron6576's post with the link https://easydmarc.com/tools/dmarc-lookup helped me confirm the issue. The EasyDMARC site is an easy tool to use but keep in mind they are selling a service to manage your DMARC process.

    Cheers,

if you're a tech guru you can do all that but 99 out of 100 will look at that as Greek.

I called GoDaddy in January when we had the problem (as they host my domain) and they were aware of the issue, reset whatever you're talking about, and it resolved my issues ........... Temporarily - this issue just started up again.

    Can't send to

    Yahoo; Aol or SBCGlobal emails.

    Riducluous Microsoft!

We had this same problem, and my assistant found that a change had to be made in the DNS. I now have the same problem with another company I run and I can't find the change I have to make. If someone knows it let me know.
