Turn on autocorrect in NEW Outlook

We are sorry to hear that you are facing a challenging trying to turn autocorrect on in the New Outlook. let's work together to have that sorted out for you.

The autocorrect in the New Outlook, it has been renamed to "Editor".

Once you open a new message, you can click Options > Editor > Open Editor

Here is how to get to that based on your ribbon view (Simplified or Classic)

an extra panel will open to the right side, showing the editor details

Under correction, you will see the issues that the editor is suggesting a fix for, as shown below

I've just started at a new company and need to use the new outlook. Can you please advise when autocorrect will be added?

I send a lot of emails and use this function to quickly add text.

For example I would previously type KR and the text would autocorrect to Kind Regards

SS would add my name - Samantha.

Can you advise when this VERY USEFUL function will be added to New Outlook?

Like many have said, it is very frustrating to not have this available to use.

I am enjoying the other features but this is a huge let down and I would change back to old outlook if I had the option.

I completely agree with everyone who wants Autocorrect returned to Outlook. I use it all the time to speed up my work by using simple shortcuts like "w" for with "q" for because, "lft" for looking forward to, "fff" for my email address, "zzz" for my cell phone etc etc etc. I have literally dozens of these simple little shortcuts that save a ton of time. There is no logical reason to take it away...please bring back autocorrect!

Hi, I want to add my two cents as well. Not having auto correct for the most common words is crazy. I cannot believe it was excluded in the new Outlook. I am an IT consultant and have switched to learn about it so when my clients start switching over, I can help them. I have a few clients trying to use is and this is one of the biggest complaints. Just to add one more item, not being able to Quick Print an attachment is an issue as well. it went from two mouse clicks, to about 7 clicks and 3 window views. Do the programmers at Microsoft use Outlook? that is a question I have.

The auto spell correct doesn’t work. My emails are going out with misspellings. Your suggestion is to manually check each time. Worthless. The new outlook is horrible in so many ways.
