I've switched to the new version of Outlook but autocorrect isn't on and I can't work out how to turn it on. There is no 'file' option in the new version of Outlook which is where it used to be in previous versions.

The only solution I've found (on a MAC) is to revert to Legacy Outlook. I'm now missing out on other feature improvements but but I lose too much productivity from the lack of Auto-correct otherwise.

it would be fine if one could turn off new outlook but it cannot be defaulted on my version. I have tried all the fixes. How can a year go by without this being fixed

    OMG

Yes that works! Thank you for this tip.
I don't know if it wasn't there before, or if I just wasn't able to find it, but yes it works.

    Thank you thank you

Agreed. I switched back and forth from plain to html repeatedly but could not find any autocorrect options.
I ran out of time to play with it.

this doesn't the trick for me ;(

You can select under options (when opening a new email) text without layout (small T icon) -this distroys my signature - then click on the T icon again for HTML layout - on my version of Outlook still no view on autocorrect etc...
