Above the reading pane, select Junk > Phishing > Report to report the message sender. I do not show that on my Outlook page when I have a phishing mail to report. Is it something I need to load? All I have is to put the message in Junk.

I received a genuine emal from 123Greetings.com. On attempting to open the card, it misbehaved and ended up blaring Windows lockout, and giving a support number 1-844-845-0311. I did not call, and restarted with no obvious problem. Am I right in assuming that the site or email was hijacked, or is the support number genuine? Am I likely to experience further problems?

Malicious ads or website. Scammers are waiting at the end of that number to steal your money or ID. I would clear the browser cache if I were you. Do a full scan just in case. That's all.

Thank you. Obviously I expressed myself badly, but my meaning was clear. Of course It was a scam; my principal concern was whether the lockout was genuine - if it had been, I would already have been in deep trouble, so I am relieved to know that it is not.

I think I get a mail from "McAfee virus scan" every f.. day, every time I'm reporting it as phishing. But they are still coming. Why is it so difficult for Microsoft to stop these mails? It's driving me crazy and with a little bit of AI this it would be easy to fix. I just don't get it. Would not even need AI for this! Using Outlook app on Android and Hotmail in web browser.
