Thanks to @DerPritz on REDDIT, I found an answer/easy workaround!

    1. Outlook web email > Rightclick your email > Advanced Actions > Create Task
    2. A pane opens on the right. Rightclick the email icon link on your email > Open in To Do
    3. Another pane opens next to the previous one > Rightclick the Outlook icon Open link > Copy Link Address and paste it anywhere and that specifice email will open up!

Now this will create a task in your Microsoft To Do everytime, but its fine for me because I dont use To Do.

This option works perfectly fine. Thank you for sharing it.

I find Outlook Web is a half baked version of Gmail in many ways (getting URL, embed emails in other tools...)
They really need to bring the level up.

This method works only in outlook on the web and in classic outlook, not in thw new outlook.

Best method is sending the email to onenote and from there you get the link.

Thanks for the suggestion that might work for you, but:
    A) Step 9 . Right clicking the 'Open > " icon does not work for me in the ToDo app or the "Open in Outlook > " icon in the ToDo pane of the New Outlook app. I can only left click which opens the email in a new window with no way to get a URL

    B) That's a helluva lot of steps just to get a URL. It might have been good as an interim workaround but doesn't change the need for a more direct way to generate a permalink to an email.
