Hello people.

At the moment im very frustrated. I cant do anything on my email. I expect important mail today. And im greeted by this: Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later.

The Microsoft account login server has detected too many repeated authentication attempts. Please wait a moment and try again.

Like what?!? How can there be too many repeated authentication attempts? Years ago i discovered this problem with my outlook that almost every hour 100ths of login attemps are being made on my email. out of china, India and other nations. Using VPNs and stuff. I then asked for help. And was told that i shouldnt worry about those. Those are failed attempts. They have no consequences on your account. Well that was a lie.... Apperently.

I have a strong password. And 2FA on my mobile phone. More i cant do. This problem is just incredibly frustrating. I would have been using another email long ago. if this one wasnt connected to so many important things and friends and family.

I get over a 100 spam emails a day 20 of them goes past my spam filter. I get emails from myself demanding bitcoin. When i respond to them(to tell them to 'take a walk'). The response goes to my own email. How can that be?!? I have checked everything. Secured everything. Last week. I had this problem that on my PC start screen everything was suddenly in chinese!

Considering everything. My conclusion has to be that microsofts servers are compromised. Otherwise all these things shouldnt happen. Its frustrating. Especially when i try to speak to a person. And i finally found a phone number. The response i get is Sorry we do everything online now. So you dont have to wait(last part is a lie).

Im so frustrated with microsoft. But they obviously dont care. They have a monopoly. They can ignore their customers. Or can be loose with their data.

Now the rant is over. Now for my questionHow can i safely access my email again? Do i have to wait? For how long? I cant wait. As i expect a important email today.

Thanks in advance for any help. * Changed to a question

This is definitely a glitch and something very wrong with Microsoft's authentication system which they seem reluctant to rectify.

After using this page to login to my email a few times, I encountered the same issue again but this page no longer worked. I left it for a couple of days and was able to log in again through this page and the same problem came back after a while. Extremely frustrated, I tried to seek an alternative method and found that changing the login alias helped.

You may find more details on this Reddit thread that I came across while Googling for a solution: https://www.reddit.com/r/Outlook/comments/yhhlcl/daily_login_attempts_into_my_outlook_email/?rdt=43727

Since I changed my login alias (and ensure I do not use this new alias for anything else), I haven't encountered any more issue with logging in and also noticed there are no longer any unknown attempts of sign-in activities to my email account.

Hope this help you guys who are looking for a better solution. I'm currently in the midst of migrating my primary email to Gmail for a permanent solution since this is not the only issue I encountered with my Hotmail; I've been missing email occasionally and there doesn't seem to be any way around that.
