Disable auto-delete of accepted meeting invites in the *new" Outlook?

It is totally unacceptable that MS still hasn't fixed this simple issue. It was senseless to have this feature as default in the first place.

If you also use Teams alongside the new Outlook, try to respond to calendar invites in Teams. In this way, your email invites will not be deleted. Hope this helps for ppl who are waiting for a MS Outlook solution.

The existing Outlook app for Windows has a setting to prevent calendar invites from being automatically sent to Deleted Items* when you accept them. Is this setting available in New Outlook?

Microsoft just announced that starting in 2024, the new Outlook will be the "official" one. I'm really concerned that features like this may be ignored when trying to reach feature parity. So, Is there an official feature request page for this? They exist for other Microsoft products I use, but I didn't find one dedicated to the New Outlook.

*Deleted Items is the wrong choice even if I wanted this! Archive would be the smarter location for a modern email didn't. (But the best thing would be too simply not do actions the user didn't request!) Thanks again.

Same here. Already disabled this and still have the issue.

That is very strange. Seems like a Microsoft issue. I would suggest making sure everything is up to date. I know it is a pain, but you could always remove the software and reinstall it to make sure you have the most up to date version.

I am by no means an Microsoft guru I just know that this is what solved my issue. Hope you get this sorted quickly. I know it is very annoying. Not even sure why they would want to delete emails by default after accepting invites. There is almost always other information in the invite email other than just the place and time.

I tried this and it seemed to work. For outlook on the web , please click Setting> View all outlook settings>calenadr>disable Delete invitation and responses that have been updated.

These are the same steps for the windows desktop version as well. It unfortnualty does not sync across web and desktop though so make sure you apply this setting to both.

Edit: that setting doesn't seem to fix the issue. Already disabled in my outlook and still my invitations are deleted.

To clarify: in the outlook web version, you cannot use a rule like 'the attachment ends in .ics'. Other email services might (my macOS Mail application does for example), but for the outlook web version you need to use Type > invitation response settings exactly like in the image provided.
