What countries phone number are not supported by microsoft account to add in?

At https://account.microsoft.com > Security (on the left) > Advanced security options > Do you have at least one backup email address listed? If you don't, add at least one backup email address. Addresses that are not outlook.com or Hotmail are better backup addresses. (Yahoo, Gmail, etc.)

I am not certain that an email address can be substituted for a phone number in Reards, but try it.

I am unable to add my phone number to my Microsoft account. My account is in Cairo, Egypt. This is not allowing me to verify my account and causes security issues and problems with my account. Without adding my phone number, I am also unable to make any purchases on Microsoft account and its associated products. I need your support please.
