Outlook 2016 will not take gmail after end of May 2022

Google advises that gmail will not work in Outlook 2016 after 30 May 2022. how do i change from outlook 2016 to outlook 2019 within my current 365 subscription?

    No, no other changes, first, enable 2-Step Authentication, next, Generate an App Password, then replace the existing Outlook password for this account with the 16 digit App Password you generated.

    1. Step up 2 Step VerifIcation at the GmaI Website?
    2. Than you saw under Google Security...Signing into Google....create less Secure password App (or something Similar)
    3. Followed the Directions to create the 16 Digit Password?

    Unless for some reason Outlook 2007 will not handle a 16 Digit Password, which I doubt is so, putting that 16 Digit password into Outlook 2007 ACCOUNT....it should work.

    I tried this with Outlook 2007 and it hasn't worked.

    Is there any advanced changes (security, port #, etc) that need to be changed?
