Problem solved by clicking on my office subscription and then selecting Outlook and then editing/adding contacts. The desktop icon I was using to access mail was taking me to something called Outlook PWA - don't know how that happened but it is now corrected.

If you don't access Outlook via the correct route, you don't seem to get full functionality

What I see when I try to go to the Outlook software is "The products we found in your account can't be used to activate Outlook. Is this saying that I don't have that ability? Thank you for your help.

I'm having the same issue. I first noticed it yesterday, August 29, 2022, and it still isn't working today.
