Outlook does not reconnect after waking from sleep mode

Hi,

When I leave my computer idle so it enters sleep mode outlook does not reconnect to server and cannot update the latest emails. Closing the program down and starting again means that outlook will not even open. The only way I can get outlook to open up again properly is to restart the PC.

Is there a better fix than this, as it is rather annoying than to have to restart all the time.

I can confirm I have the latest updates for windows 11 and Microsoft office programs.

While I am a Dell user (XPS 15 9570), I don't run ExpresConnect. I hope those who do will find your tack useful and effective.

    You fail to mention what Office/OL version or what type of mail accounts??

    I have no such issues under Office 365 and 4x Exchange mail accounts and 1x IMAP

    And if closing Outlook and then it wont restart means that something is holding the Outlook.exe process open

    restart the PC, once fuly loaded hold the Ctrl key when starting OL to force safe mode, how is it then?

    So I am running Office 365 for enterprise.

    I have 1 IMAP account and the other 2 are exchange.

    As I stated there is no issue opening up office once I have restarted the PC, but I am looking for a fix that doesn't involve restarting my PC everytime I have left my PC to go to sleep so I can use outlook.

    I have reinstalled outlook from scratch twice already and the same issue presents itself again.

    I have also upgrade the OS from windows 10 to 11 and the problem exsisted on both version of the OS and outlook.

    So I am looking for a solution that will stop the crashing of the program after the PC has entered sleep mode.

    Were you able to find a fix for this? I have the exact same issue and it's driving me crazy having to reboot the laptop several times a day!

    I changed my Wi-Fi internet to a wired connection using a docking station, which fixed the problem.
