Outlook does not reconnect after waking from sleep mode

Hi,

When I leave my computer idle so it enters sleep mode outlook does not reconnect to server and cannot update the latest emails. Closing the program down and starting again means that outlook will not even open. The only way I can get outlook to open up again properly is to restart the PC.

Is there a better fix than this, as it is rather annoying than to have to restart all the time.

I can confirm I have the latest updates for windows 11 and Microsoft office programs.

Thanks

Thanks so much for involving yourself in this craziness. I appreciate it, and I appreciate you.

While I am a Dell user (XPS 15 9570), I don't run ExpresConnect. I hope those who do will find your tack useful and effective.

Again, thank you. I promise to share whatever I find out here.

I have the same problem. Office 365 E3, most recent version of Win 11 and Office installed. It won't reconnect (sometimes does, sometimes not) to exchange server. Often Teams will also go AWOL, not connected.

My two personal IMAP accounts have no problem.

Worse, it screws up my brand new computer so it often won't restart, it hangs on restart. If I choose to shut down, It WILL shut down. And then I can start it.

I am seeing the same issue on one PC in our enviroment. New Dell laptop running win 11, Office 365 with an E5 license. User loses connection to Microsoft 365 server in all Office apps. Outlook, Teams, Excel Word. Only fix is to restart the PC. Once restarted it will work for the rest of the day, then start the issue again the next day.

Thank you for that suggestion! Looks like that fixed the outlook issue, but not Teams. Still have to restart my computer altogether so Teams can connect again.
