Outlook does not reconnect after waking from sleep mode

Hi,

When I leave my computer idle so it enters sleep mode outlook does not reconnect to server and cannot update the latest emails. Closing the program down and starting again means that outlook will not even open. The only way I can get outlook to open up again properly is to restart the PC.

Is there a better fix than this, as it is rather annoying than to have to restart all the time.

I can confirm I have the latest updates for windows 11 and Microsoft office programs.

Thanks

Thanks so much for involving yourself in this craziness. I appreciate it, and I appreciate you.

While I am a Dell user (XPS 15 9570), I don't run ExpresConnect. I hope those who do will find your tack useful and effective.

Again, thank you. I promise to share whatever I find out here.

Same problem with both Teams and Outlook on W10 22H2.

    No solution yet?

    Same issue here.

I get at random disconnects after my pc goes to sleep during the day.

I do not have any Google services running on my company laptop, but still get at random interrupts in everything linked to 0365. Teams sync, Outlook sync, Onedrive sync seem to fail from time to time.

Only thing that solves it temporarily is rebooting the pc.

This sometimes seems to be partial: In teams I get a notification that I need to login again, which fails, I still receive messages but cannot send any.

Teams is for example updated to one of the latest builds ( 1.5.00.28361 (64-bits). Laatst bijgewerkt op 18/10/2022 ).

I take that back - the issue has resurfaced but will fail randomly throughout the day. I will notice mail is stuck on updating and messages I thought had been sent are stuck in the outbox. Rebooting resolves it for a short while

In my case, two Google Update services were interfering with Outlook's ability to resume after my PC (running Windows 11 and Microsoft Edge) came out of sleep mode. Disabling the automatic start for those two in services.msc did the trick! I can always update Google manually.
