Outlook does not reconnect after waking from sleep mode

Hi,

When I leave my computer idle so it enters sleep mode outlook does not reconnect to server and cannot update the latest emails. Closing the program down and starting again means that outlook will not even open. The only way I can get outlook to open up again properly is to restart the PC.

Is there a better fix than this, as it is rather annoying than to have to restart all the time.

I can confirm I have the latest updates for windows 11 and Microsoft office programs.

Thanks

Thanks so much for involving yourself in this craziness. I appreciate it, and I appreciate you.

While I am a Dell user (XPS 15 9570), I don't run ExpresConnect. I hope those who do will find your tack useful and effective.

Again, thank you. I promise to share whatever I find out here.

I have also noticed that when this is happening, Teams and OneDrive appear to be offline as well. During the times this happens, the network connection is still active and web browsing is still possible.
That's what made me wonder about the possibility of a licensing issue, preventing access.

I want to mention that I observe the same phenomenology in Teams and Outlook. So I doubt that the problem is something on the outlook side only...

I do not have any shared mailboxes, so that isn't it.

Also, I verified that I do not have any other versions of Microsoft office installed, just a single instance of Microsoft 365 Office apps for Enterprise.

One thing I was thinking about was licensing, as it didn't seem to be connecting to allow use. I did download and run the SARA tool and used the option for  “Fixes Office subscription activation issues”. This stripped out the licensing information and upon completion and reboot, required me to re-activate the license for my machine (we use an enterprise license, through email address option).

It 'seems' to be working now but I thought it was fixed previously and then started up again so I wont know for a little while.

    Fingers crossed

Actually, we do not use shared mailboxes. But I will uncheck it anyway and see if it helps.
