How do I get my Outlook mail working again if I cannot generate a new password. I accidently added a folder under the inbox and when I tried to delete I could not. I then lost connection to AOL and could not connect to pull my email. I went to generate a password but I keep getting this feature not available right now.
How can I get my Outlook to pull my email from AOL again?

Chris, When I say migrate this is what I am doing.
I'm doing the same thing with outlook.com, I could still see my Verizon mail on my phone and on AOL.com so I changed the emails on the good stuff. I did lose all my folders on my old Outlook, On the new Outlook I still had my favorites so I could see the sites and make a determination if I want to change the email address. It has taken a lot of my time. I'm done with AOL as a prime source for anything!
Totally agree.. I does take a good deal of time. As mentioned I still had my Verizon email on the older computer so I could move the folders on Verizon to Gmail folders. which was something positive in the whole mess
Thanks for the reply, it an opportunity to clean things up by eliminating non used sites.
Had the same problem when trying to get a new spam email service (MailWasher) to connect to my AOL account (previously Verizon). The support person said exactly the same thing: to consistently login to AOL mail directly on the same desktop that I'm trying to generate the app specific password from for several days and, after a "period of time", the login would become "known" and the app specific generator would work again. She suggested that at least once a day for "several" days.
She said it was because AOL had been increasing it's security measures.
Using Windows 10 and Chrome for all access.
