How do I get my Outlook mail working again if I cannot generate a new password. I accidently added a folder under the inbox and when I tried to delete I could not. I then lost connection to AOL and could not connect to pull my email. I went to generate a password but I keep getting this feature not available right now.
How can I get my Outlook to pull my email from AOL again?

I too have a few @verizon.net email addresses but ran into this problem a few weeks ago while trying to configure my FIL's @aol.com in Outlook. Took a lot of searching and found a lot of users having similar issues and then problems with AOL's app password generator would suddenly resolve after a couple of days or so. I finally spoke with someone at AOL whom reluctantly admitted once I pressed him that there were countless number of users having the same issue, that they were changing how the app generator worked as I'm guessing AOL realized the idea was pretty bone headed because I suspect if someone's AOL account were compromised, all the hackster had to do was generate an app password and they'd have access to the user's email account. Someone eventually suspecting a hacked account would usually be advised to change their password but probably never think to change their app passwords and I'm guessing the app passwords would not be deleted or if so, then even more possible chaos would ensue because of disconnected third party apps. So while AOL for months on end claims to be working on a fix, what they have implemented but is not publicly acknowledged or communicated to users is the need to log into the AOL webmail application daily over the course of 2 or 3 days or remain logged in and then the app password generator then becomes available to use for your third party mail client. Pretty messed up system because all I wanted to do was get my FIL's Outlook client properly configured for his AOL account because his Windows Mail app was trash and it takes 2 or 3 days to get an app password generated. I'm now going through this trying to get my AOL accounts converted from POP to IMAP.

The problem with App Password return again. Could you please check and fix it?
Sorry Elton, I've no experience with Apple/Mac systems.
I searched both Google and Bing as I'm sure did and found nothing.
Perhaps someone else can help.
Randy.
