Microsoft Outlook Storage Message - reducing from 15GB to 5GB

That snapshot you posted only shows 1 storage. It's a glitch. The new policy should show 2 storage, Microsoft Storage (5 GB limit) and Mail Storage (15 GB limit). Outlook attachments total size now affects your lower 5 GB limit. Yeah I know it is confusing. Try signing out, clearing browser cache and signing back in. If you still don't see 2 sections in General - Storage option, wait a few more days.

that's lame! attachments are APART of the emails. dumb. just a way to gouge to people. very sad. 15gb of mail storage should encompass any and all part of the emails.

And another interesting point is:

if I go to my OneDrive (that I never asked for) it has a folder called Attachments. But that folder has mere three small files in it... So if my attachments are counted towards OneDrive storage, where are they???

I think people got ahead of themselves here, quite aggressively I will say. But just to be clear 15 GB Is still reserved for emails, and one drive is limited to 5 GB. I am using the same ID for over 12 years now, I am grateful to Microsoft for providing me with this free service for soo many years, the last thing one should do is criticize them if they are reducing the quota.

PS: Just Picture this Microsoft outlook web has come along a long way in years and years of development, over these years they have been releasing soo many new features for free, factoring in R&D development costs they have invested, I am no Microsoft employee, but just putting up a different perspective

Good luck filling up 15 GB with email that contains no attachments but text only. Whoever decided to count email attachments towards the lower 5 GB limit is really high on drug.
