Microsoft Outlook Storage Message - reducing from 15GB to 5GB

Hi, starting today a pink bar at the top of my outlook page stating 'From February 1st, you'll need more storage to send or receive emails.' then provides 2 links to 'Manage Storage' & 'Get More Storage'. There is a second window bottom left hand side stating in red font 'Microsoft Storage' '14.6GB used of 5GB (292%)' 'Get More Storage'. What is going on? I've had this account for 10 + years.

Microsoft are simply trying to blackmail you into buying more storage. Even if you delete OneDrive and the excess items, it wont let you send or receive for days afterwards. Really handy when you are just about to leave to go overseas.

    A G R E E D !!!

Deleted a bunch of old stuff, and even got things below 5 GB and still get the same message REGARDLESS

UNRELIABLE account anyhow - which is spammed like crazy and NOT a secure email account to use - its been a good tilt - BUT SEEE YA !!!

Not paying a dime, while others who got suckered into paying are still having related issues

    MONEY GRAB FOR SURE !

    Dear Microsoft / Sajjad747,

Please explain above. I received the pink bar message today.

    It doesn't make any sense.

I have had my Hotmail address since 1998. What's going on?

    Thank-you.

I used AdBlocker to block all the individual elements in the pink ribbon. It disappeared – and reappeared at the bottom of my folder column. So I had AdBlocker block all those elements too. It all disappeared again. Wonder if any of it will come back? Maybe if they change the colour from pink to green?
