Outlook showing "from" field when replying to an email addressed or cc'd to me

Very recently, don't know the exact date, when replying to an email, addressed to me or I'm cc'd, Outlook shows the "from" field (with my email address, no other account).

I have one email account, I cannot find a solution to stop this from appearing, it doesn't impact anything, just it never used to show it, now it does.

It doesn't appear if I create a new email (wouldn't expect it to, as I only have one account), It also doesn't appear If I reply to an email that doesn't name me but am part of a mail group.

Anyone else have this "issue", a workaround or is there a fix?

    I too have this issue from more than last 6 months. I request Microsoft Developers to fix the issues without annoying the users.

    After reading the whole thread, I feel this is not the good sign of treating customer feedback. Please fix the bug ASAP

    it worked for me!! so I just did this... changed the registry value from "0" to "1"... restarted outlook... went back into registry editor, changed the value to "0" and then restarted outlook again. now the "from" does not appear on new messages or on replies to messages!!

    Microsoft are so useless these days they introduce 3 new bugs with every "change" (they are not updates as they improve nothing) they make.

    Please just focus on removing bugs, not creating them

    Hello Julian,

    Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

    I understand that you have an issue where Outlook is showing "from" field when replying to an email addressed or cc'd to you.

    Can you, kindly check if you have the option to "show fields" when replying to a message in the Outlook ribbon. If you do have only one email account in your outlook 365, you can deactivate the "From" field which I assume is active. Please see screenshot below.

    If you do not see the "Show fields" option, please share with me a screenshot of your Outlook ribbon when replying to an email.
