How do I move the Outlook 365 Navigation bar from the left side of the Outlook Window to the bottom of the window? The instructions I have researched do not show anything like what exists on my Outlook 365 program.

To change back to have the bar horizontal on bottom (versus vertical on left side) simple do this:

    1. Select File > Options.
    2. Select Advanced, and under Outlook panes, clear Show App in Outlook.
    3. Close and then restart Outlook. After doing so, you'll see the navigation bar positioned below the folder pane.

Thanks, Dave. I've gotten used to it and, like most of us high mileage users my resistance to change has slowed a bit; however, My Dell XPS13 with Windows 11 and Outlook 365 still has Navigation bar at the bottom of the window but something called Coming Soon may change that. At least when it does I'll be ready for it, not that I will like the inability to move the Navigation bar.

I must check my laptop and see if it's run one and mucked up that computer too.

Not all systems get updated at the same time and not all UI changes are applied via an explicit KB update.

Bottomline, there is no way to prevent this change, at some point all systems are going to be the same.

    Dear Microsoft,

I HATE the new navigation/App Bar on the left. Please move it back to the bottom. Or, give us a way to choose where it is located (side or bottom). I have more height in my view than width, so it's annoying and a PITA. Why do you keep moving things for no apparent reason?
