Outlook Calendar changes not showing up in Google Calendar

Hello there!

I have Outlook email and Calendar (and I'm not sure what else) through work. I shared my main Outlook Calendar to my personal Google Calendar account by importing the Outlook .ICS URL (found in Outlook.com > Settings > Calendar > Shared Calendars) into GC. All events show up usually, but this past week I haven't seen event changes showing up in GC, even more than 24 hours after the changed event passed. I can't find any way to manually force a sync/update.

What can be done to ensure event changes to my Outlook Calendar show up in my Google Calendar? This is important for me because I have a long-established system of meeting reminders based around my Google Calendar, and whether OC supports that setup or not it would be too much work to redo it all for this 1 calendar.

Thanks in advance,

Grant

Ah. I do see it, but the actual events don't show. I've tried deleting it and re-running the script (with a change of calendar color). It does reappear with the new color, but still no events. Any ideas on what I can debug inside the code? Maybe some authorization is messed up? Though I'd expect an error of sorts and not to see the calendar in the list.

It should have created a new calendar amongst your Gcal ones listed on the left with the same name as your target name in the script. If you don't see it listed ready for you to tick then maybe you need to redo the script and run it again as perhaps it wasn't installed to your google account. Just a guess.

This did not work for me. I even swapped the positions of the .ics url and the "target name" in the sourceCalendars variable. Looks like the script is definitely running, but I see no Outlook events on the Google side except the ones that were there before I shared and added the calendar from Outlook to Google Calendar. Any ideas?

Seems like the issue is actually in Google Calendar's end, where Google Calendar only updates every 12 or 24 hours. That's according to the previously posted solution, with installation instructions shown here (and here if the copy button doesn't work for some reason).

Why isn't Microsoft answering this? What is happening? This is so frustrating. A simple sync.
