How can I easily switch my Editor languages in Outlook

Hi,

I am working in three languages. This means that one mail I am writing in one language, the next one, I will be replying in a different language. The current way of working is that I always manually select the text and indicate the language I am using. This is quite tedious; it would be easier when I can easily change it in one click or one keyboard shortcut.

Does someone know a solution for this inconvenience pls?

Windows 11, new Outlook design, with Editor active.

    Hi Michael

    In a new mail you should have 'Options' in the bar above the ribbon.

    Then click on the icon that looks like a pen with three little stripes on the left of the ribbon.

    Goto Editor settings and click on 'Manage spellcheck languages'.

    Here you can select the three languages if needed/wanted.

    That works but as soon as you restart your computer or close - open Outlook, any added languages disappear and I need to repeat the procedure. Very annoying

    1. The problem is not new emails, because there is a setting for that; it's replying to received emails.

    Hi all,

    the solution is existing, but it takes to many clicks to change the spelling language of the existing text:

    Word - two clicks: one on the language in the status bar and one to select the new language

    Outlook - four clicks: Review ->Language ->Set proofing language and one to select the new language

    Somebody may think, there's no big difference between two and four clicks, but people having to switch 5-10 times within one mail find it very annoying, especially because there's no keyboard shortcut (known to me).

    For typing new text, Windows+Space is a great solution, as I don't have to move my hand from the keyboard to change the language.

    @Microsoft: it shouldn't be too difficult to implement the same solution for existing text!!

    do you have some solution that makes using new outlook back to functions that were there before?!\

    In Europe, we are communicating in more than just english, so you can try to write 30 emails in 3 different languages.

    There is a bug that even I have 3 languages added in editor for spellcheck and so on, only first one is considered, how this should work? This si so annoying that it makes Outlook unusable to writing emails, which sounds to me bit strange from email client app.

    Do you have at least some another workaround except changing each time order of the languages, or we need to move from Microsoft products completely?
