Further to my Post on 25th Oct and having been updating contacts that I couldn’t reliably access whilst we had the earlier Scroll Bar Issues it is now very evident that OWA People / Contacts is still ‘Unwell’ with issues still present when trying to Add, Update and Edit People / Contacts.
Not sure whether a lack of further Posts reporting these new issues on the previous Contacts Scroll Bar Threads indicates that this is a more restricted issue or simply those former contributors haven’t had cause to amend their contacts and encountered the issues themselves but without any evidence to the contrary, I suspect that this may be present on all the popular Browsers that suffered from the former Scroll Bar Issues.
Also doesn’t appear to be any new Threads or Posts related specifically to these ongoing issues other than that recently reported in :
Cannot scroll through or see all of my Contacts/People 18/10/22 by gf1
so in case this helps others identify whether they have similar issues this is what I have found so far, which must still be related in some way to the cause of the previous Scroll Bar Issues ?
Outstanding Outlook,Com (OWA) People / Contacts Issues
New Contacts although shown on A-Z List are not fully accessible / visible
Can’t be Edited using Edit Icon Button below Contact Details
Have to R Click Contact in A-Z List to access editing function in the Drop Down List
After refreshing OWA Contact is still visible but NOT in Exported Contact Data !
When Editing an Existing Contact details not always updated in RH Panel
Appears as if Contact doesn’t fully Update if some fields left blank (not a previous issue)
The less Contact details (Fields) included the more unreliable it appears to be
If Contact is not updating seem to be able to ‘Kick it back into life’ by adding and deleting content in some Fields such as ‘First Name’ which then appears to save the contact properly making it fully visible / accessible (Edit Icon Button restored) and crucially then and only after doing this, appears in Exported Contact Data !
Following my previous experience I cannot see any point whatsoever in reporting this through MS Help (absolutely waste of time) but note some contributors mention an alternative method of ‘Feedback’ - Anyone else experiencing these same issues ? and If so any idea how we can get MS to sit up and listen since I think the Integrity of People / Contact info is a pretty crucial issue if you can’t currently rely on OWA to add or update Contact Data !
