Using older versions of Outlook for Mac for personal email and calendar
We are not using Jira. My impression was that it relates to the length of the email. Shorter email replies are more likely to get stuck.

Hi everyone - has anyone had issues with sending emails using Outlook 365 for Macs? Especially a red error box that appears at the bottom (attached) and says "Message failed to send Open" The email is then stuck in drafts with the option to continue editing but it is simply frozen in drafts and the only way is to delete and try again. Alternatively, you can go to the webmail version of outlook, find the drafts folder and send from there. This has been happening on/off for several weeks now, no pattern, just happens occasionally.
This version of Outlook 365 is absolutely **** with so many issues

Hi guys,
I might have found the trigger for this issue.
Are you guys using Jira?
We downgraded jira to not include some integrations with microsoft and i feel that i have been issue-free for 2 days now. It might actually be this.
Like 6 months ago, Microsoft told me to remove all third party plugins in Outlook in an effort to solve the issue and it did not work, but now when we have removed some stuff in Jira i feel a difference.
Can it be that easy?
(I'm running Outlook 16.84 on Mac OS Sonoma 14.4.1 Mac Studio 2022 Apple M1 Max)
I'll let you know if i encounter this issue again.
Sincerely,
A hopeful production manager
Can confirm switching to the legacy view fixes it, but with so many users experiencing the same thing on Mac we really shouldn't have to. Crazy that it's gone unaddressed for this long.
I have exactly the same issue, for now I'm reverting back to the 'classic' Outlook version.
