New company took over and outlook now having issues

I was with Centurylink. They forced me to have Brightspeed. I was assured nothing would be affected. They were wrong. I have never used webmail and have always had my webmail forwarded to my Outlook that I had bought. Since Brightspeed has taken over I am having issues. My Outlook 2021 from Microsoft keeps synchronizing and I my emails either won't go out or take forever to come in or go out and it keeps saying synchronizing folders and I have no clue what that means and why today it started doing that. Brightspeed is no help. Centurylink helped me with the POP info to put in and swore there would be no issues but no longer will talk to me since they said I am a Brightspeed customer and I can't talk to anyone with Microsoft. I don't know why this suddenly started today and Brightspeed had no answers and basically just said good luck. I have work emails that I forward to my outlook so I can print to do my teleworking. It's been over 3 hours and I don't even know why synchronizing is or why it's doing this. HELP. I need it to stop doing that and for my emails to come and go quickly like they were doing yesterday. Any ideas or help anyone can give me.

    The modem (IP 192.168.0.1) is your system's DNS server front-end. The modem, in turn passes on lookups to its DNS server, i.e., 205.171.3.66 in the you tube example. The modem has 2 DNS servers (for redundancy), and the second is probably 205.171.2.66. These 2 servers can change, and that update of DNS servers is one of the things that rebooting the modem was suppose to accomplish. My modem currently uses 205.171.3.65 & 205.171.2.65.

    I have always had it set for one minute so that never did change. I looked up this on the hardware (you tube again) and it said this about DNS servers when I looked it up on the network. Not sure if that is the same thing as the modem.

    These results look as they should. Not sure what happened in the previous test.

    The DNS server that is being used can only be seen by looking into the modem, and I don't think you are comfortable in doing that. It's really not important now that it appears to be working, i.e., the output from the tracert depends on lookups via the DNS server. It's still possible that the DNS lookup are failing at times.

    Did the Outlook setting of 1 minute check for new mail improve things?
