    It just pops up as YAHOO to list user ID and password then shows a bar that looks like it's trying to connect. If I X it out it comes back?

    Yes the pop up appears when in open my outlook which is part of microsoft 365. I continually appears and I have to keep cancelling it by clicking the X in the top right corner. I noticed that my input server was "yahoo" so i changed it to ATT. but when I tried to go the output servre to change it, the server said i could not to that. Please help me.

    I have a sbcglobal.net email account. Changing the server settings for Incoming and Outgoing from Yahoo.com to att.net worked for me. Thank you very much for your response to this aggravating Yahoo popup problem.

    I want to thank everyone for your help in solving my problem with the Yahoo pop-ups. It appears that all is working well (at the moment, at least!!!).

    As some of you said, the problem started when Microsoft changed the server settings for my verizon.net email account to yahoo. I have no idea as to why they did that, but they caused me and many others to spend a lot of time trying to fix a problem that they caused, and didn't have the courtesy to notify any of their customers about what they did.

    So, here is what I did for my verizon.net email account:

    Incoming Server: imap.aol.com ; Incoming Server Port 933, SSL

    Outgoing Server: smtp.verizon.net ; Outgoing Server Port 465, SSL

    Then, to get my verizon.net email account to sync with my Outlook.com inbox I followed the instructions provided by one of you:

    1. Logged into AOL email website.
    2. Went to "Options" in the right-hand corner under my Account Name and selected "Account Info".
    3. On the left side of that window, selected "Account Security".

    4.Scrolled-down to "How you sign in to AOL"

    5.Selected "Generate and Manage App Passwords".

    6.Entered my verizon.net email address as the name of the app I am using.

    7.Clicked the blue box that says "Generate Password".

    1. Copied that password into the Outlook.com account setting space.
    2. SUCCESS !!!

    what name should my in and output servers be?

    Whoever YOUR email server/provider is... yahoo.com / gmail.com / att.net / verizon.net, etc.
