Outlook Links Don't Open in Chrome (Set as Default Browser)

I finally found the option to change the default browser for outlook. The option is in Outlook.

Change the default browser for Outlook:

1. Open Outlook
2. File
3. Options
4. Advanced
5. File and browser preferences
6. Open hyperlinks from Outlook in: Choose Default Browser
7. Restart Outlook

Change the default browser for Windows 11:

1. Go to Settings >> Apps >> Default Apps
2. Find your preferred browser in the list and click on it.
3. Click the button 'Set default'

Turn off Outlook Side bar:

If you do use Edge but only want to turn off the Outlook Side bar that pops up in edge when you click a link in your email, follow these steps:

1. Open Edge
2. Click ...
3. Settings
4. Sidebar
5. Under App and notification settings, Click Outlook
6. Automatically open Outlook email context in the side pane: Toggle Off.

There were some bugs especially affecting Office Perpetual that may have caused the issue you saw. The bugs are now fixed as of Current Channel Version 2310 (Build 16924.20150). After these fixes your browser and link settings should not change again.

Q: I want to open web links from Outlook emails using the default browser set in Windows.  How do I do that?  

A: If you want to turn off the feature, you can do so from Outlook settings: Select File > Options > Advanced > File and browser preferences, and then select the desired browser from the dropdown menu for "Open hyperlinks from Outlook in".

So I have done, redid, restarted chrome, outlook, windows, everything. The links open in Edge when set as default, but will not open when default set to Chrome. Won't open from any MS product (Teams, Word, Excel, etc.) I'm so frustrated. I don't know what to do. I have to copy every link and paste in Chrome to navigate.

Go to outlook,

go to file and options,

go to advance tab and under File and Browser Preferences in the drop down Open Hyperlinks from outlook in "Default Browser"

This is automatically set to Edge.
