Outlook for macOS: Dropping attachments (randomly)

Hello all,

For some reason, Outlook for Mac is dropping attachments and images in the emails I send. It's random, but it happens to me quite often. I managed to find out that this issue has historically occurred with other people using older versions. It seems that this bug has returned to Outlook for Mac.

I have the latest version 16.75.

macOS is also updated, i.e., macOS Ventura 13.4 (22F66).

I didn't have this problem before. It appeared about a month ago. In the meantime, a new version of macOS has been released and there have been several updates for Outlook, but the situation persists.

Attachment randomly disappears from the e-mail which I send with the attachments and pictures. It looks very unprofessional.

This is example how it looks when I add picture to the e-mail when the message is sent.

If I try it once again on the second attempt the attachments/pictures are sent without issues.

I need help, please.Any advice?

For me, it doesn't have to do with OneDrive.

On Windows, new client, if you are attaching a OneDrive file from your recents, it puts it as an attachment but is really a shared link. That works great. Mac has never had the ability. So, OneDrive links just get pasted in line with the body of an email, and they have worked fine.

What wasn't working is when you do an attachment from what the Outlook client believes is a local drive. When you send, you can see it, however, after it's sent, it's not there and it's not stored in the Sent copy either.

For about the last four weeks, it's been fixed and I haven't had the problem.

Over 4 months since this was originally reported... way to go Microsoft.

In my case, all of my files are stored in OneDrive, synced to my Mac HDD, so whenever I'm sending an attachment by email, Outlook must be digging the file out of the OneDrive database. I wonder if that could be the source of the problem?

Are others having issues attaching files that are not in OneDrive?

I am running 16.78 and having the same issue. Attachments disappear the first time I send an email but go thru on the second email to the same recipient. Makes no sense.
