My Outlook inbox is suddenly getting a ton of spam and I don't know how to stop it

Last week, my personal Outlook email started getting ~50 spam emails per day. I barely ever use this email address, so I am not sure how or why this began to happen. How can I stop all of this spam from getting to my inbox?

I have been flagging all of the emails as spam, but it doesn't seem to be stopping the influx of emails I am getting.

    All my messages ( over 7,000 emails) from my inbox, were put into my deleted folder. I click on the prompt to open and try to restore all at one time. Sadly, I am only able to restore one at a time. I tried to select all and restore, but not allowed.

    Is there a method to select all 7,000 messages to move back to my inbox, instead of having to click on each one?

    Your help is GREATLY appreciated!

    Boy did you hit the nail on the head Jeff!! I'm in the exact same boat... have had MS for as long if not longer and NEVER BEFORE have had this much spam getting through the filters! I think it is a ploy by MS to have people pay. The problem with that ... is I already pay with another email address thru MS so they're not going to get more $$ out of me! I also pay for their 365 thru my business... so where does one draw the line?! If they don't get their act together... A LOT OF US will "jump the MS ship" ...!

    NOPE! And that's why I agree with you... MS is messing with everyone who doesn't have a paid account! My other account with them was an "original" paid account for $19.95/yearly and the one for my business with their 365 was set up because of my business domain... needed to have one so that one is also paid for. But this one I'm using for free.. was originally set up to handle all my regular communication mail (not for my business) which the two paid ones are for. So I agree... MS is "pushing the paid subscription" and will continue to screw with everyone like they are now... inundating everyone's inboxes with the daily tons of SPAM MAIL!
