My Outlook inbox is suddenly getting a ton of spam and I don't know how to stop it

Last week, my personal Outlook email started getting ~50 spam emails per day. I barely ever use this email address, so I am not sure how or why this began to happen. How can I stop all of this spam from getting to my inbox?

I have been flagging all of the emails as spam, but it doesn't seem to be stopping the influx of emails I am getting.

That is RUBBISH, as I do that action 5 times a day and they still keep coming. I will close my Outlook account and move to my gmail acc permanently. After 16 years.

Same here. I was a paying subscriber for 10 years, using Office and storing almost 200GB. Same mailaddress for 20 years. I moved to Google.

If you are a sender of emails, for instance you are a small business owner who sends to an email list using a service like klavio, mailchimp, mailerlite, or any number of other service providers, this will be helpful so that YOU do not get relegated to the SPAM department! BUT! Don't be fooled! The SPAM operators are savvy, and manage to collect enough revenue from people who fall for their scams that they can pay people to keep their emails "looking legit" to the bots that patrol for them! That's their job after all. And it keeps teh security companies employed! It's quite a great partnership they have going on.
