My Outlook inbox is suddenly getting a ton of spam and I don't know how to stop it

Last week, my personal Outlook email started getting ~50 spam emails per day. I barely ever use this email address, so I am not sure how or why this began to happen. How can I stop all of this spam from getting to my inbox?

I have been flagging all of the emails as spam, but it doesn't seem to be stopping the influx of emails I am getting.

yes, i think we all know how to block individual spam email. if you read more carefully, you'll understand that there has been a fairly sudden tidal wave of repetitive assinine spam email. the outlook spam filter is not catching these. rather than going laboriously through 30-50 emails blocking one at a time (a COMPLETELY useless effort, since they change one letter in the sender address, and flood us again the same or next day) we want to know:

    1. why is this suddenly hapening?
    2. what is a systemic fix to get relief (besides creating a new email and starting the cycle all over again.)

    2. if your problem hasn't subsided in a few days, as microsoft purges these email accounts, then you probably need a new address. Make sure you report the emails as junk or phishing instead of blocking. As you mentioned, blocking doesn't work for majority of spam.

NO!! Some suggestions, but I think it depends on the version of Microsoft you are running.

I have managed to trace the source of my constant spam emails I have been receiving. Two days I didn’t check and had 1600 emails to delete. Multiple sign ups to the same websites mailing lists.

Turns out it’s to do with a company called klaviyo who are partners of Shopify, these emails started shortly after purchasing a subscription for a Shopify store. I’ve contacted Shopify who refuse to take action, I’ve also contacted klaviyo U.K. head office in London who refuse to put a stop to it. We need to shame them for their bad practices!
